Miss Western Kentucky State Fair

The rules and regulations for the Miss W.K.S.F. Pageant to be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. are as follows:

1.   Each contestant must have reached her 16th birthday by October 31, and cannot have reached her 22nd birthday by the same date.

2.   A contestant entering the pageant must be a natural born female, single, never been married,  never had a marriage annulled, and never had any children or be pregnant at the present time.  Furthermore, the contest winner cannot marry prior to the competition for MISS KY COUNTY FAIR (held in January in Louisville).

3.   A contestant may only represent one Fair and must represent the first Fair that she wins first place in during the calendar year 2026.

4.  Contestants will show in conventional one-piece swimsuits and formal, full–length dresses and participate in one round robin style interview.

5.   Each entry must be by sponsor only.  No groups of businesses or civic clubs can sponsor one girl.  Only one business or civic club/organization can sponsor one girl.  The sponsor cannot be a parent(s).  The sponsorship fee is $50 for each entry.  BE SURE TO SUBMIT A CHECK OR CASH WITH THE ENTRY FORM. CHECKS MAY BE MADE OUT TO:  WESTERN KY STATE FAIR.

6.  Registration Deadline; Saturday, June 13, 2026.

7.   All contestants must enclose with the entry form a photograph,  approximately 2 ½ inches by 3 ¼ inches.  This picture may be either color or black/white, but should be either a studio photograph or a school photograph.  This photo WILL NOT be returned.

8.  Each contestant MUST BE A RESIDENT OF KENTUCKY.

Required Attire:

1. Appropriate attire for the interview segment includes a wide variety of clothing selection

Job Interview Attire - Dress (must be fingertip length), Blazer, Jumpsuits, etc. Remember, the interview is one-to-one.

2. Attire for swimsuit competition - one-piece swimsuits are required (NO large cut-outs or Brazilian cuts). Must have strap or straps. Contestants will be permitted to wear heals during this segment of the competition. NO two-piece suits will be allowed.

3. Attire for evening gown segment of competition: NO slits to the belly button, NO large key holes, NO slits above mid thighs. (A two-piece gown is acceptable.)

These rules and regulations are set forth by the Western KY State Fair Pageant Committee, Lauren Chester, chair person.  Please keep this information sheet for future reference.

Note:  Dressing Room assistance will be provided by Fair Board ladies and one professional hairdresser.  NO ONE ELSE WILL BE ALLOWED IN DRESSING ROOMS. 

1. The contestants must be a natural born female, single, married, divorced, or widowed and can have children. A birth certificate is required. Contestants must be 22 years of age on October 31, of the year when the local pageant is held at the local fair. 

2. Clothing for the pageant will be MODEST, meaning no cut outs in the attire, very MODEST cleavage showing in all attire (No low cut in tops that go to belly button), no slits will be allowed higher than mid-thigh, no see-through attire.

3. Each entry must have their own sponsor. Sponsors are responsible for entry fee only which is $55. The banner will be provided by the Fair Board. We will draw to see how to place you instead of when the applications are turned in. BE SURE TO RETURN A CHECK WITH THE ENTRY FORM MADE OUT TO: WESTERN KY STATE FAIR.

4. All contestants must meet for rehearsal with the Fair Pageant Committee. The rehearsal will be held on TUESDAY, JUNE 17th AT 6:00 P.M. at the Fairgrounds Convention Center. On this night you will be able to purchase a parking pass.

5. No one allowed in dressing room except the contestants.

6. Top 5 contestants will answer an on stage question.

7. Grounds for disqualification can be BUT are not limited to untrue statements or registration forms, misconduct, obscene, foul language, unruly/unbecoming behavior that on social media and/or the internet such as porn and any other reasons the pageant committee may deem as necessary. The board will make all decisions and they will be final.

8. Ms./Mrs. will compete together with one winner being crowned Ms./Mrs. Western Kentucky State Fair along with 1st, 2nd, 3rd, runners up, along with Miss Congeniality 

9. Entries must be completed by Friday, June 12th in order to allow the fair board committee to print programs and make banners. Please return entry form, entry fee, and picture to:
